People Ops & Founder's Office — I help build the systems, culture, and teams behind good work.
Selected work
Joined as an early team member and built the entire hiring, onboarding, and operations infrastructure from the ground up.
Managed a live chess learning platform, coordinating grandmasters across time zones while keeping the student experience consistently high.
Managed end-to-end placement processes for hundreds of candidates with enterprise hiring clients across India.
Stepped into a supervisory role at Adventure Attractions, managing a multicultural team under UK employment law and strict H&S standards.
From retail ops in India to hospitality leadership in the UK, a reflection on how moving across industries and cultures has shaped how I work, communicate, and lead.
About me
I'm a People Ops and Founder's Office professional who genuinely loves the behind-the-scenes work of building organisations: the systems, the culture, the processes that most people don't see but everyone benefits from.
My background is an unusual mix: a BA in Philosophy, Psychology & Literature from Mumbai, followed by an MSc in Management with Human Resources from Bournemouth University, with a Distinction. That combination, understanding people through the humanities and organisations through business, is exactly what shapes how I approach my work.
Five years. Three industries. Two countries. One through-line: making teams and operations work better.
I've built People & Ops functions from scratch at an early-stage food startup, managed live learning operations across 9 time zones in edtech, coordinated high-volume placement for 1000+ candidates, and led a multicultural team through a compliance-heavy hospitality environment in the UK. My career hasn't followed a straight line, and I've stopped pretending it should. Each move added a layer of perspective I couldn't have got any other way.
I'm at my best when I'm working close to leadership, building structure in ambiguous environments, and creating the conditions where other people can do their best work. I care about the human side of operations, not just the systems side. Probably the Philosophy degree talking.
Outside of work, I'm currently exploring UI/UX, partly out of genuine curiosity, partly because I think the best operators should understand the tools and products they work alongside. I'm a fast learner, and I've never been afraid of starting something I don't yet know how to finish.
